ODP is a file extension for a presentation file format used by OpenOffice.org in the OASIS Open Document standard.

The Open Document Format (ODF) is an XML-based open source file format for saving and exchanging text, spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.

Besides ODP, the most commonly encountered OpenDocuments extensions include:
  • ODT for text files
  • ODC for charts
  • ODS for spreadsheets
  • ODG for graphics
  • ODF for formulas or other mathematical equations.
